Destination Photography Work Bucket List
Lately, I've myself doing lots of daydreaming about my future plans for my business. In recent months, more and more of these dreams have turned into thinking about how to incorporate more travel into my work life! I've photographed weddings from New England to Florida to Mexico and back again, and have now made it a goal to work with more beautiful couples across the country!
If you don't already know, I love love LOVE to travel (check out the hashtag #shainaleetravels on Instagram for some of my adventures)! For this reason, I came up with a few of my top destinations where I'd be ecstatic to photograph a couple for their engagement or wedding day, and labeled it my Destination Photography Work Bucket List!
Today, Arturo and I are headed to Hawaii, where I'm looking forward to working with a wonderful couple at sunset on a secluded beach on the Big Island, just north of Kona. Hawaii is number one on my bucket list. There's no way to truly describe the beauty of Hawaii Island, with its jaw dropping sunsets, beautiful landscapes and some of the sweetest people you ever may meet. I look forward to photographing more weddings on the islands of Hawaii!
Let's hop back over to the mainland, to the great state of California. The beaches and scenery of the west coast are so different than what we have here on the east coast (you can read more about how amazed I was by this fact when I photographed Sam + Jon's anniversary session while visiting Oregon this summer)! I envy those of you who frequent the west coast cities, especially in southern California and San Francisco. Maybe it's just because I've lived in Connecticut my whole life, but I cannot wait for the day I photograph a California beach wedding or engagement!
As we move north to Oregon, I look forward to returning to Portland! When I was there this past summer, I loved the city sights. It's so diverse, with its historical buildings and homes, landscapes, cityscape, gardens and more! I mean come on, who wouldn't want to be photographed in a gorgeous rose garden?
Number four on my list is Charleston, South Carolina. I cannot describe how dreamy this beautiful southern city looks! Day in and day out, I see breathtaking photos of couples around the city, in front of pastel-colored buildings and beautiful palm trees. Does it get more romantic than this?!
So there you have it, my top four destinations on my Photography Work Bucket List! Why am I telling you all this, you ask? I am so excited to be sharing news about special wedding collections I've created for destination weddings and engagement sessions! For those looking to book a photographer for their destination photo session, shoot me a message so I can tell you more!
