Elizabeth Park Engagement Session in West Hartford, CT | Renee & Matt
I met Renee, Matt and their pup Calvin at Elizabeth Park in West Hartford, CT on a lovely Sunday evening for their engagement session. The sticky humid air that usually likes to hang around New England at the end of August had subsided for the time being, allowing for a fabulous session with perfect golden light in the Elizabeth Park Rose Garden!
In early November 2013, Renee and Matt expanded their family and brought Calvin home. Exactly one year later, Matt proposed! He had asked her to join him for dinner and a nice evening at a hotel. When Renee asked what she should wear, he responded, "A nice dress". She had no idea where they were going, but she went out and bought a dress anyway. As the light of the sunset poured into their hotel room through the open window shades, the two shared a romantic moment together sipping on champagne. Matt turned to Renee and said, "Last year we made a 10 year commitment by buying a dog together. Today I would like to make a 100 year commitment to you. Will you marry me?" Renee said that for once in her life she was at a total loss for words. She was so shocked that Matt had to repeat himself for her to give him an answer!
Congratulations Renee and Matt! I cannot wait to celebrate with you on your wedding day in October!
