Engagement & Wedding Ring Box Inspiration
By now, if you’ve been following my blog for a bit, you know I’m all about the details! In addition to your portraits, I always say that details have a major impact on your final wedding gallery. Whenever our couples hand us the engagement rings and wedding bands to photograph, and a beautiful ring box to go with them, I know their ring shots are going to have that extra bit of visual interest!
If you’re on the hunt for a velvet ring box to match your wedding style, there are plenty of options out there! One of my favorites is The Mrs. Box. Not only does it make a beautiful wedding heirloom, but they offer close to 50 colors to choose from and countless personalization options! Etsy is another great place to find a ring box for your wedding day. Not only can you find a wide variety of options and ring box styles, but you’re also supporting artists and small businesses by shopping on Etsy!
Below you’ll find just a few of my favorite velvet ring boxes that I’ve photographed over the years. I hope they help you find inspiration for a style that fits you!
I loved everything about this velvet ring box from The Mrs. Box! The neutral color of the velvet paired beautifully with the personalized rose gold lettering, which also matched with the rose gold details in Rachel’s rings. You know I love a classic wedding, and these bridal details only added to the beauty of such a celebration! Emily’s soft blue velvet ring box matched her bridesmaids’ gowns wonderfully. See more of Emily and Chip’s elegant and intimate backyard New England wedding in Westport, Connecticut!
I always say personalized details make your day even more unique. When I saw Jamie’s ring box with the first initial of her new last name, I knew the impact it would have on her wedding photos as well. If a square or octagon shape isn’t your cup of tea, ring boxes can also be found in oval and round styles as well! With the blush and navy blue color palette Meg chose for her wedding day, her choice of a soft neutral white material was a great one. All of Laura’s bridal details had me swooning, but I especially enjoyed her burgundy personalized ring box! The gold stitching of her new initial paired beautifully with the rose gold tones in her engagement ring and wedding band. When Ellen pulled out her blush ring box from The Mrs. Box, I immediately noticed how well it matched the color of her bridesmaids’ dresses. She told me it was the first little gift she bought herself after getting engaged, and was perfectly finished with a gold foil ‘e’. Ring boxes help to add more visual elements to your detail photos, especially your ring shots. I hope a few of the photos above give you some inspiration in finding something for your wedding day!
