Intimate Hartford City Hall Wedding in Hartford, CT | Brittney & Ray
WEDDING PORTRAITS AT HARTFORD CITY HALL
Photographing Brittney and Ray’s wedding portraits at Hartford City Hall in Hartford, Connecticut was an absolute dream! It was a lovely spring day, and the historical architecture of the building provided a beautiful backdrop to their newlywed photos. Photographing wedding portraits at Hartford City Hall had been on my wishlist for quite some time, and it did not disappoint!
Earlier that day, Ray and Brittney were married at a church nearby. After a few taking a few photos with their families at the church, we headed up to Hartford City Hall for some additional bride and groom portraits! In the week leading up to their wedding, the forecast was calling for a gray, rainy weekend. Luckily, as the day drew closer, the forecast improved to overcast skies, and it eventually turned into a warm, sunny April afternoon!
THE LOVE STORY
Brittney and Ray met in late 2019 through a church group they both attended at the various events the group would host. They found themselves spending more and more time together at each event with their mutual friends. Soon after, Ray asked Brittney out on a date to a local seafood restaurant where the two shared a great conversation over margaritas! Within a few weeks of their first date, Brittney and Ray made their relationship official on New Year’s day in 2020.
Soon after, the pandemic broke out, so the two started spending all of their time exclusively together. Ray and Brittney would enjoy walks together, and along the way often stopped at the local Catholic church to pray together. They even made updates to Ray’s house during their time at home. Despite 2020 being a challenging year, it also truly allowed Brittney and Ray to value their time together.
Last summer, the two took a break during their kayaking trip and shared their favorite wine together. As they chatted with each other, Ray and Brittney both revealed how much they cared for one another and wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. They were both filled with incredible joy and excitement as they talked about what their future would look like!
This past Christmas Eve was a warm and sunny day here in Connecticut. That morning, Ray asked Brittney if she wanted to go for a walk, an activity the two enjoy together quite often. One of their favorite spots to stroll together is the St. Padre Pio Foundation in their hometown. As they often did on their walk, they stopped at the gazebo where Ray read Brittney a funny poem he had written for her. At the end of the poem, much to Brittney’s surprise, Ray proposed and asked her to be his wife!
These two are now married and what a wonderful day it was. Congratulations Brittney and Ray! Wishing you many years ahead filled with joy and laughter!
These sweethearts are MARRIED!
