A ROMANTIC NEW ENGLAND WEDDING AT THE INN AT LONGSHORE
Jackie and Beau’s romantic fall wedding at The Inn at Longshore in Westport, Connecticut was the last of our September weddings, and we couldn’t have asked to end the month on a higher note! Everything from a beautiful floral design to a sweet couple with impeccable taste made this day one for the books. Arturo and I spent some time with Beau and Jackie last summer at their Southport Harbor engagement session, and we had been looking forward to their wedding day ever since!
It had rained non-stop for a couple of days prior to Jackie and Beau’s wedding day, and had even continued to do so that morning. Luckily, Mother Nature gave us a break and cleared the storms from the area just a few hours before their first look. It was still pretty cloudy that afternoon, but Arturo and I certainly didn’t mind because it gave us some of the softest, dreamiest light to work with. These two are complete naturals in front of our cameras, and to top it off, they’re so much fun to photograph as a couple! The love and chemistry they share shine through in each and every one of their portraits.
That evening, it was time to get these two married! The bride and groom were married in a heartfelt ceremony on the back lawn of The Inn at Longshore, which was led by Beau’s uncle. They each shared sweet personal vows before exchanging rings, and eventually their first kiss. As the new Mr. and Mrs. walked up the aisle, joyful smiles beamed across both of their faces while loved ones clapped and cheered around them!
That night, Jackie and Beau kicked off their wedding reception with a perfectly choreographed first dance, complete with an elegant dip kiss at the end! After dinner, friends and family packed the dance floor, celebrating the newlyweds late into the night. From beginning to end, we loved everything about Beau and Jackie’s elegant wedding day!
THE LOVE STORY
Jackie and Beau met when they were both students at Eastern Connecticut State University and lived in the same dorm building. The moment Beau first saw Jackie, he was immediately interested in getting to know her. They would say hello in passing, though the two didn’t really get to know each other beyond that.
After their freshman year at ECSU, Jackie and Beau coincidentally both transferred to UConn. Over the next three years, Beau would strike up a conversation with Jackie on Facebook or invite her to parties that he and his friends were throwing. His buddies knew he had a crush on her, though Beau never told Jackie how he felt.
A few months after graduation, the two reconnected through a dating app. Beau was excited to find out that Jackie had swiped right! They stayed in touch, though they didn’t officially start dating until several months later. Soon after, they quickly fell in love and discovered their common interests. Jackie and Beau eventually moved into their first apartment together and adopted a pet rabbit (which later turned into three pet rabbits after they bought their home!). The rest was history!
Beau and Jackie are always bonding over their work and bringing out the best in each other. They truly are a perfect pair. After meeting fourteen years ago, and dating for nine, these two are finally married!
