A FALL WEDDING AT THE PATTERSON CLUB
Rachel and Pat’s elegant and timeless fall wedding celebration at The Patterson Club in Fairfield, Connecticut was nothing short of STUNNING! With plenty of personal details, perfect autumn weather, and a wonderful couple, there were so many things to love about this day! Arturo and I photographed Pat and Rachel’s engagement session at Walnut Beach last December, and luckily their November wedding day was much warmer!
Rachel and Pat opted not to have a wedding party, which meant we had extra time to roam around the grounds of The Patterson Club for portraits with the bride and groom! It was an overcast afternoon, so the lighting was absolutely divine for their first look on the side patio off of the main ballroom. There’s no shortage of dreamy locations for photos at The Patterson Club, which is just one of the several reasons Arturo and I enjoy photographing weddings there!
Pat and Rachel were married in front of their loved ones, with the golf course serving as a beautiful backdrop to their ceremony. After exchanging their vows and rings, the new Mr. & Mrs. were pronounced husband and wife. As they shared their first kiss, friends and family clapped for the newlyweds as they made their way back up the aisle with beaming smiles across each of their faces.
The bride and groom were celebrated endlessly that evening! With wonderful toasts, a high-energy band, and a jam-packed dance floor, there was no denying how much love surrounded these two on their wedding day. Rachel and Pat’s wedding was our last autumn wedding of 2023, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to end our fall season!
THE LOVE STORY
In 2015, Pat began working at the same accounting firm as Rachel. Everyone was excited for a new guy to join the firm, so the girls in the office dared Rachel to look him up on LinkedIn. After finding his profile, she instantly thought he was pretty cute! Pat had accepted Rachel’s LinkedIn friend request but didn’t think much of it since he was beginning this new job to advance his career, not to make friends.
Several months later, Pat was assigned to Rachel’s audit. She was the senior on the job, and Pat was an experienced staff member. Rachel thought he came off a little a little too sure of himself; although she was the boss on the job, he made the rules. They eventually got to know each other more, and now Pat is the most sincere, hard-working, loving man she knows. Pat wasn’t Rachel’s #1 fan at first either when they first started working together, but he soon realized what a special person she truly is. 7 years later, these two a married and beginning the next season of their life together!
