A SUMMER WEDDING AT ARIA
Ashley and Jimmy’s June wedding at Aria in Prospect, Connecticut was a classic and timeless celebration! Arturo and I first got to know these two last summer during their Waveny Park engagement session. We could see then that they were a perfect match with undeniable chemistry, so we’d been looking forward to their wedding for an entire year!
After getting ready for the day’s festivities, Jimmy and Ashley met in the back garden for their first look. These are always some of our favorite moments to capture on a wedding day, and we loved being able to document these sweet memories for the bride and groom! Just as they had at their engagement session, Ashley and Jimmy brought the love they had for each other right into their portraits, making our jobs that day even more rewarding!
Ashley was an embodiment of grace and beauty as she walked down the aisle in her elegant gown. Jimmy, in his navy blue suit, watched his bride walk towards him at the start of the ceremony. After exchanging rings and vows, the new Mr. and Mrs. shared their first kiss and walked back up the aisle as guests cheered around them!
Aria, renowned for its grandeur and opulence, served as the ideal backdrop for this classic ballroom wedding. With its high ceilings adorned with sparkling chandeliers, the venue exuded an air of romance and splendor. Every detail was carefully created and curated by Ashley to reflect the vision she and Jimmy had for their wedding celebration.
The newlyweds' first dance was a moment of pure romance, their love filling the room as they gracefully swayed together on the dance floor. The toasts and speeches were filled with laughter, tears, and heartfelt emotions, leaving no doubt that the couple was surrounded by an abundance of love and happiness. Guests sang and danced late into the evening, ensuring that Ashley and Jimmy were celebrated all night long!
THE LOVE STORY
In 2014, Ashley started a job working at Stew Leonard’s, a local grocery store chain founded in Connecticut. Little did she know that the following summer she would get to know her future husband! On Monday evenings, Jimmy and Ashley were both scheduled for the closing shift; she would clean the registers and he would take care of the bag orders. Ashley quickly found herself getting shy and nervous around Jimmy as she thought he was “the cute college boy”. As it turns out, Jimmy felt equally nervous to talk to Ashley because he thought she was out of his league.
In 2016, Jimmy and Ashley were both promoted. By that time they had become closer friends, constantly joking around with each other. A year later, they were on the same closing shift, standing together in the customer service box. One of their coworkers made a comment saying how adorable it would be if they date, but Ashley and Jimmy turned to each other and laughed it off.
About a week later, the two were texting and Jimmy worked up the confidence to ask Ashley out on a date for dinner at a local restaurant. From then on these two have been inseparable, and the rest is history!
Congratulations Ashley and Jimmy! Cheers to many beautiful years ahead!
