Rolling Hills Country Club Wedding in Wilton, CT | Leah & Bobby

A ROLLING HILLS COUNTRY CLUB WEDDING

Leah and Bobby’s November wedding at Rolling Hills Country Club in Wilton, Connecticut was a beautiful day from start to finish! After planning a wedding for September of 2020, then having to postpone and re-plan for November 2021, their long-awaited wedding day had finally arrived. Rolling Hills Country Club brought me back to my hometown, so this wedding was an extra special treat to photograph!

It was a cold and blustery day that afternoon, which certainly made portrait time a bit of a challenge, but we made it work! Even with temperatures in the 30s and whipping winds, Bobby and Leah had the most wonderful smiles on their faces during their first look on the front lawn of Rolling Hills Country Club. We stayed outside for as long as we could, but Arturo and I also didn’t want our bride and groom to have frostbite before they said their I Do’s!

Luckily the wedding ceremony took place inside a cozy space just off the Rolling Hills Country Club modern ballroom. After exchanging their rings, Bobby and Leah shared their first kiss as husband and wife as guests cheered and clapped around them. The new Mr. and Mrs. had waited for this moment for over two years, and now it was here!

Arturo and I loved that Leah and Bobby were up for sneaking outside again for a few newlywed portraits before heading to their cocktail hour. At that point in the evening, the wind had calmed down a bit, and the sun was just about to set, giving us some romantic golden hour glow for photos!

The bride and groom were celebrated into the night with heartwarming toasts, wonderful music, and endless dancing. Their wedding day was our last one of 2021 and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect couple to end this historic season with us!

THE LOVE STORY

Bobby and Leah met a few years back on Twitter after they had both tweeted about baseball. The two started following each other after realizing they were both huge fans of the New York Yankees. As it turns out, Leah and Bobby had several mutual connections! At the time, they were both in their last couple of years of college and didn’t live far from each other in southern New York.

Around that time, Leah had started hanging out with some friends she met on Twitter. She and the rest of the group were all wondering when Bobby might join them as well. Up to this point, Leah and Bobby had been following each other for several months before she “slid into his DMs” to encourage him to come to hang out with their group of Twitter friends!

When Leah had messaged Bobby, she had no intentions of dating anyone at that time. However, the two decided to meet up for drinks one night to celebrate Leah’s first day at her new job. By the end of their first round of drinks, Bobby and Leah both knew they had something special, and they’ve been together ever since!

Congratulations Leah and Bobby! Wishing you many happy years ahead!

Leah was a beautiful bride in every way!

From head to toe, Bobby was an incredibly stylish groom!

The wind that afternoon proved to be a challenge, but the blustery conditions didn’t stop Leah and Bobby from smiling during their first look!

The whipping winds and temperatures in the 30s caused the afternoon portrait time to be cut short, but luckily these two were up for sneaking away from their cocktail hour later on for some dreamy newlywed photos!

They’re FINALLY married!

Even with temperatures near 30°, we loved that these two were up for spending a few minutes outside during golden hour for their newlywed portraits!
